At Brown’s Catalog, we take our customer’s visitor’s privacy very seriously. Our privacy policy, in effect since January 1999, has recently been updated. Below you’ll find additional information on how we handle your sensitive information.

We collect information volunteered by our customers and site visitors and may include the following categories:

Information Availability & Use:

We use the personal information you provide when you make a purchase for internal purposes, such as confirming and tracking your order, subscription or registration, analyzing trends and statistics, informing you of new products, services and offers, and providing you with information from and about our company.  If you do not wish to receive emails and/or periodic mailings from us, simply call, email or write to the address listed above. 

Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers will only receive telephone contact from us with information or questions regarding orders they have placed. We do not share phone numbers with any other organizations. We may also email customers who have placed orders regarding those purchases.

Like many other merchants, we participate in cooperative database services which assist us in the matching of offline and online purchasing behavior so that we can better understand and serve your needs.  If you prefer that we not share your information, simply call, email, or write to the address listed above. 

When contacting us, please clearly state your request, including your name, mailing address, email address and phone number.

Removal Of Information From Our Databases & Records:

Customers or others who have submitted personal information to us may email or call us at the above addresses/phone numbers to request immediate removal of information from our records if desired.

Customers or others who have opened an account with us may also log into their shopping account and edit, or delete information.

We will take the appropriate steps to modify your preferences with respect to our marketing communications.  Due to production, mailing and system timelines, it may take some time to process your request. 

The following guidelines are provided for your convenience:

• 10 business days for emails
• 30 business days for phone calls
• 90 business days for direct mail

Until your requested change takes effect, you may still receive marketing communications from us.  If you send us your request by regular mail, please allow extra time for us to receive your notice. 

Although you may have opted not to receive marketing communications, you may still receive business-related communications such as order confirmations. 

Changes To Our Privacy Policy:

Brown’s Catalog reserves the right to update and change our privacy policy at anytime without any formal notice to our customers or visitors.

If our information practices change at some time in the future, we will post the policy changes to our website to notify you of these changes and provide you with the ability to opt-out of these new uses.  If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check back at our website periodically. 

Security Policy

With respect to security: We always use industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving consumer data exchanged with our site. We have appropriate security measures in place on our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site.
